Default TH400 what convertor should I use?

Well I got my TH400 trans sitting here and know what flexplate to run but have no idea what convertor to use with it considering I was gonna run 4.30 gears with my 12 bolt because Im 6 speed right now. Im running a 232/232 cam with a wilson 95mm tb and 92mm intake manifold along with all the regular boltons except EWP and will eventually add a set of trickflow heads. I was figuring on running something in the 4000 range to be a little easier on the car since I'll be running a tranbrake as well. Let me know what you recommend for a setup like this.

lsx car, get a gen1 sbc converter, TCI flexplate and use the spacer it comes with. Get longer bolts from Sears and ure done. JUST had to figure this out with my th350 swap a week ago and i had major headachs tryin to figure out what to do.

My set-up---

6.0
th350 trans
gen1 converter for a th350
TCI flexplate

Go with FTI, you can have a custom converter built that you dont need anything other then the TCI flywheels, no spacers or anything

Im not sure why you think that. All you have to do it extend the snout on a regular 400 converter otherwise it is a just a th400 converter that everybody uses. Same bolt pattern, same input shaft.

Greg @ FTI will get you squared away. I couldnt be happier with mine.
