i use the B & M pro rachet, can be used either 3 or 4 sp, some people dont like it because you have to rachet it twice out of/into park, but no big deal
i have used several of these, i like them because the stick stays in the same place, doesnt end up way forward in park, important in this case because i have a bench seat

Only problem is most ratchet shifters dont have the proper spacing for 4L80Es. I will have to make a custom bracket for the selector shaft for my quicksilver (for now its lined up in OD and D and thats all I use).

What about racing a 4l80e, are you guys manually shifting? or just letting it ride in drive?
My application is a conversion project, I am thinking about just modifying the stock shifter. Because I HATE ratchet shifters.

my rachet works perfect with the 4l80e trans, i orig had a 400, then pulled the pin to use with the 4l80e-i have the Compushift controller, i might oneday play with setting it up to shift at a set RPM, see how it works
right now its great for banging gears-personal pref, like everything else

I use the stock shifter.

When racing mine, the T-Brake only works in Drive(it might also work in one or two, not sure). My computer controls my shifts.

Hard to out perform the computer......

we use the tci controler with the 4l85e.just leave it in d and go.all shifting is done by controller(which you can program).when the controller see,s wot it goes into wot mode and only shifts/locks up when you tell it to
other wise the shifting/lock up is based off tps, rpm, mph all of which you will have full control of.imo it is simplest way to go.
