Default Transmission problems, help please

alright guys heres making a long story short, as some of you know I just got my car back on the road, well now a couple of days later my trans is acting up now, the shifts are soft, and there are little bubbles on the end of the dip stick when I check the fluid, the fluid is still deep red, the only drivetrain changes I made was the install of a 3200 vigilante converter, any help would be appreciated.

How soft are the shifts? Does it slip or do you not feel the shifts. When you install a high stall t/c they absorb alot of the shift feel. The little bubbles could be air in the trans make sure the trans is not overfull. I have seen pumps cause this when they are starting to go bad, also could be the filter i would change that also.

they are pretty soft you almost have to granny drive it to get the gears to engage, it kind of slips if you give it to much gas, the trans has been rebuilt before

Did the trans work good before you pulled the car apart? Have you ever had a car with a high stall converter? It sounds like you are feeling the stall slip on take off and not used to it. What do you mean you have to granny it to engage the gears? Is there a delay when you go to rev or drive?Like i said before you may not feel the shifts w a stall converter especially if the trans is stock w/no shift kit in it.If it does have a kit in you could firm up the shifts more.

yeah it drove fine, but now it has h/c/i, and the stall, it drove pretty good the first few days, no this is my first car with a stall, i mean i can only give it enough gas to make the car move, so the next gears can engage, the trans is not stock its been rebuilt with all the goods, its a th700r4 (4l60)

If it has a 4l60 then try adjusting the tv cable. What does h/c/i mean.

The shifts will feel mushy at part throttle with a high stall. Its would be hard of course to say whats normal without driving the car, How do the WOT shifts feel ?

I havent got a chance to give it wot because of not having a tune on the car, but normal driving the shifts are very soft, and will slip in and out of 4th, it was fine a couple of days ago but then one night started acting up

true, but this is a 4L60 not to be confused with the 4L60(E) transmission, so the ecu has not control over the trans.
