Default Stock Temp Sensor Accurate?

Got the car back on the road. But tranny temps show high in EFILive.
The stock sensor reads around 225 after a short cruise. Coolant is 200.
I hit the tranny pan with a laser and it read about 197. Tranny cooler was about 156.

Is the pan reading accurate?

I also added a 9" fan and can keep the coolant temp under 200. But tranny temps can still get over 220.

I run a B&M 24k cooler inline with the stock cooler.

When I had the tranny looked at, builder said the tranny was fine.

I used the laser because that is the only thing I had to verify the sensor in the pan.

So unless my converter is screwed up, the sensor must be reading wrong.

The tranny works fine. It just worried me when I hit 260*

Thanks for the response.

My tranny was overheating and found that it was due to the tune being off for tcc lockup. Once I fixed it, it took care of the issue no problem!
