Default How much did your M6 to A4 conversion cost you??

Hey, I have been wanting to convert to an A4 for years now and am finally getting closer to that time. I am getting a quote from a sponsor on here of about $4,500. This includes everything possible from beginning to end. Does this sound reasonable? I see that a fair amount of you have done this conversion and $4,500 is a lot of $$$ Are a lot of you doing your own conversions?

About $2200 for mine. I traded my T56 for a fresh rebuild on my 4L80.

Did you install it or do any of the work yourself? Was that just for the rebuilt unit? That is an awesome price...

This sounds reasonable especially if thats with labor. I am in the process of doing the same thing. Consider the cost alone of the trans depending on which level from who?
the crossmember, wireharness, shifter, shifter ****, shifter cable, pedals, center consule, trans cooler with lines and fittings, re-program pcm, converter, flex plate etc. If that is what you are getting by with using a yank converter and flt level 5 or above trans with labor, You are ahead in my opinion.

No, I did everything myself (except the tranny rebuild). I did buy things that I didn't have to buy. Like a brand new ratchet shifter, AN braided lines for the cooler lines, etc.

i spent around 700, this is because i traded my t56 for a performabuilt tranny. the rest of the money was for shipping and buying the stuff i need, like the console. pedals, fluids.

I just converted last weekend from an A4 to M6 and I have everything you need to go to an A4. I'll make you a good deal.
