I have a 02 z28 with 94k miles on it. It wont shift into 2nd, if i want it to shift i have to get over 20 mph and hold the gas down until it finally shifts on its own or let of the gas and it will go to third. Either way if I just it manually into 2nd and hit the gas it acts like im not in any gear at all. When I punch it from a dead stop it goes until about 55 then bounces of rev limiter. Sorry if this is hard to understand im starting to get irritated with this.

Do you have 4th gear? It sounds like the sunshell broke. When it breaks the trans goes 1st to 3rd & sometimes no reverse. And you will missing 2nd & 4th.

 

You have either lost the 2-4 band which would give you no second or 4th or as mentioned the sunshell in which case you would have no 2-4 or reverse.
in any case its time for a rebuild or replacement trans
