Default 6L80 in 2000 F-body

i have done some digging and i cant seem to come up with any info.

i am guessing i will need a stand alone trany controller. but is that it?

anyone have any help. thanks in advance.

That's a big *** tranny to get into that Car..I would love to see one installed.

6L80/90E comes with internally mounted controller.

For best information on trans, go to Hybrids & Conversions and do a search on 6L80E and read all the threads, Speartech, Camaro does go, Mast Motor Sports Truck thread for sure.

Like poorhousenext mentions...head over to conversions and hybrids and there are a number of discussions.

The 6L80/90 has the internal control module/TCM and it will take some smart people to replace that.

There is a solution or two coming to market that will enable these trans' to run on other than a GenIV LS engine but the TCM is retained.

well after doing more digging. i am better off just buillding the stock 4L60 or buying a 4L80.
