Default 4l60e limits?

I have a 08 silverado I'm swapping my 4.8 to the lq4 6.0, I'm pretty sure I have a 4l60e. I'm also pretty sure the 6.0 should bolt right up, anything special I should know? And how much horsepower and torque will a stock 4l60e hold up to?

There is not set amount a stock 4L60E will hold, some just hold more than others. If you plan on keeping the LQ4 stock, the 4L60E should be ok stock. If you plan on modding the LQ4 and using your 4L60E, I would highly recommend having the 4L60E rebuilt with better internals. I know there is no way a stock 4L60E could the torque my turbo LQ4 makes even at it's lowest boost setting.

I eventually will Turbo it... but for now, long tubes, cam, intake, and a tune. U think it'll hold up to that?

best way to upgrade is by using one of the sponsors i think its around 1500-2500 depending on how much power you want to hold.. they send you a built trans and you just send them yours as a core. never heard any bad things about our sponsors.
really hard to find a good local transmission place imo.

Go to finishlinetrans.com or call 630-350-7776. I got mine from them and it works great. Great company. Call Andy.
