I have a Performabuilt level 2 4L60E in my 99 SS, want to change the fluid, what do they recommend? ASSuming Dexron 3 or whatever, just wanted to make sure.
Also, on my last 4L60E, I had a convertor lock up switch (different car, BTW) and it usually got me a little gain in the 1/4. Should I do this to this tranny too? My last one was built by another company, so I'm looking for (hopefully) someone from performabuilt to answer this for me. Don't wanna do anything that might hurt the tranny.
Info on the car: H/C LS1, bolt ons, 125 shot, circle D 3600 stall, full weight, 3.73 gear, runs mid 10's on bottle, mid 11's on motor. Always on some sort of sticky tire too.
Tranny has about 1500 miles on it I think, working fine. Has a really good cooler with thermostatically controlled fan, never gets even slightly hot. 160 most of the time, if its warm out.
Thanks!
