Hey guys I need some help; yesterday my wife was driving home from work in her 95 Z28 and she noticed as she slowed down for a bump that the airbag light was flashing and her SES light came on. When she slowed down to about 10mph they went off. As she accelerated it wouldn't shift out of 1st. Anyone know what switch or sensor would cause this junk? Thanks for the help.

Not sure about the airbag light but no VSS signal will cause a no shift and the ses light. I would scan first.

After letting the car sit for a couple of days I just drove it. I cranked it up and immediately took off down the street. It went perfectly through the gears for a few minutes. I decided to see what it would do at WOT so I mashed it @ 20mph. Instead of winding through the gears it shifted to second and then 3rd in a matter of seconds and wouldn't go into overdrive. The Airbag light came on with the SES light and the check gages light. When I slow way down before coming to a stop the airbag light flashes and the SES light goes off. The car only stays in 3rd gear unless I manually downshift it. Also the voltometer stays MAXED out to the top (18 volts) until I am 100% off the throttle. I tried to get the code with a paperclip but it wasn't working. I had the paperclip in the top 2 right holes in the port. Any ideas???
