Need help asap!
Need help asap! I need some help, I'm trying to pull my tranny so I can put a stall in and I have taken the drive shaft off and unbolted the cross member, I have taken the lower 6 bolts out off the bell housing(I have two on top left). What else do I need to do to get to the top two bolts, when I unbolted the cross member the tranny never tilted back. any info on pulling the trany will help. Thanks
You might need to disconnect the exhaust to get it to lean back, sometimes the pass side rests on the frame.
When you can see the bolts use 30" of extensions. I use one 24" and adjust the length with smaller ones at the end, and I use a 1/2" ratchet for leverage and a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter. I also use a universal joint with a few wraps of electrical tape so it holds at a good angle.
Make note of the one under the drivers side floor, you might want to beat some clearance into it when you get it out.
