Default T400 Temp Sensor Pan Mounting???

I just converted my T56 to a T400 trans brake on my 2000 Camaro 408 iron block. Summit sold me a 2 qt+ cast aluminum pan with an Autometer temp gauge, and B&M sensor housing. The problem is the B&M unit is only made for a stamped steel pan, the Summit pan is .200+ thick cast aluminum. The threaded part of the B&M because of the pan thickness will not thread on. Anybody know of another product that will work?

A guy named Cooper at Summit, reasearched this and found no solution, Very nicely he told me to return the pan, and said stamped steel would most likely be a better option. I really like the cast Summit pan. I don't think welding an aluminum bunge is an option. Does anyone have any other ideas?????

AutoMeter has a temp gauge with an adapter that can be threaded into an aluminum pan. I used Teflon Paste on the blue anodized adapter and the probe's nut and no leaks.

I decided to tap it. Easiest way to go IMO. Thanks for the comments.
