Chattering with shifter in 3

Just installed new 3200 converter, car runs and drives fine in D, but when you put it into 3, you get a chattering i believe from the converter, and the car vibrates. This does not happen at all in D. Car has a hand held tune only, the only changes are performance tune, and speed limiter. Transmission has Transgo HD Shift Kit, no washers. Any help with this would be appreciated, do I need to get a real tune? I was hoping not to, until I changed the gears from 273 to a 342. Car has lid, ported throttle body, ls6 intake, new style slp headers.

I didn't try that, I will thou, one thing, in 3rd before with the old converter, it did not do this. Just a little FYI. Thanks for your input.

Well I tried the brake and your right on the money, I also notice it a few times in 4rth also. Guess its time for a tune . Do you think it would do it less with a higher gear like a 342 over the 273.Thanks
