ok I have a Yank ss3600 and it needs rebuilt, I went th400 and was wondering is the yank worth anything needing a rebuild or is it worth junk price? I wanted to ask because I didn't want to junk it.

 

I just talked to Dave at Yank..My tranny went out Sat a PRP & Dave said send it to them they will inspect it and let me know if it was damaged or if it just needs cut & cleaned..so thats what I'm doing.

 

call Yank and talk to Dave , I thank they can cut it open and clean , do not think parts are still available for complete rebuild on SS(thank about 150.00-200.00 + shipping both ways (35-40.00 each way)

you should be able to sell that converter and purchase the one you need. it would probably sell better if it were feshened.

I got my converter, I been cleaning the shed out and I have the factory conver and the 3600 thats needs rebuilt. The 3600 might be bad because when you move it left to right you can hear something shaking around inside it, I wasn't sure if I should offer it as a bad converter that needs rebuilt for real cheap or just throw it in the junk bin.

 

The internals of a converter will move around while not installed in the trans as the stator tube aligns the stator and the input shaft aligns the turbine.
