TH400 transbrake problems

TH400 transbrake problems I bought a TH400 with the RMVB transbrake and the solenoid was bad. I replaced the solenoid and now when I shift from 1st to 2nd the trans goes straight to 3rd. Any ideas?

Did it work before you changed solenoid? When you shift from 1-2 does it miss 2nd then you shift to 3 or does it go into 3 when you go to 2. Linkage is very critical on a rmvb. What shifter are you using?

I know on my TH350 RMVB with a brake I was having some issues with linkage like before said and it wouldnt go into 3rd at first then was skipping 1st going straight to 2nd untill I got everything set in the proper spot. So i'd say check the linkage and make sure all the way back is 3rd on the trans and shifter.

Yes it shifted find with the first solenoid, just the first solenoid didn't work for the brake. I have the B&M pro shifter. When I shift from 1st to 2nd it shifts straight to 3rd. So it skips 2nd.
