I would just get a tranny off a sponser on here. Mine has worked flawless. Its just not worth having some local shop rebuild it. I went that route long time ago and learned my lesson after I spent over 2200.00 that started out being a 1200 rebuild and the local shop screwed me.
Do it right the first time and get a well known proven sponser on here to get you one.

A good rebuild should be about 1,600.00 for the trans. The converter price depends on if it is stock or aftermarket high stall. If you have a shop do the install that should be about 375.00 for labor.Thats bullshit about local shops i have a family owned & operated shop & the quality of work is unmatched by local or internet units.I do love when someone comes in with some badass unit he got off the internet & it is a piece of **** Which happens alot.

72blownvert your right there are some local kick as builders out there....we tried a sponsor on here from out east & had to pull it out twice & then we were recomended a local shop which was FLT & they were great people with a great product!
they happen to be a sponsor on here & local to where my car broke down for the second time......
search is your friend...
good luck!
