What's all need for a new stall?
I'm getting a Yank ss 4000 stall soon! Should be fun. What's all needed for a new stall? I know I need the stall, and tranny cooler. But what size cooler and what else? Like flex plate, bolts, ect.. Thanks for any info.

The big thing is the cooler which you know. I got a really nice big cooler from autozone it was for an rv lol, but arp flexplate bolts never hurt either. I would say while your at it get a lokar flexiable dipstick and you should be good. and by all means make sure you putt some tranny fluid in the converter, and good luck with the install.

I would try to address all available issues while the trans was out. Including, front and rear seals on the trans, new fluid and filter in the trans, if any bellhousing bolts have rounded I like to replace those now, pick up an SFI flexplate as well, if you are on a budget run a CAT SFI flexplate, about $65 on ebay. Consider welding in a 1/8 npt bung and plug while the pan is off so you can install a trans temp gauge later as well.
For a cooler the B+M 70264 is a popular one.

Ill be installing a new Circle D transmission in the next month or two and I am also compiling a list of stuff to install/buy
1. CAT SFI Flexplate (got mine for $59 shipped on ebay)
2. Transmission filter and at least 2 gallons of fluid (non synthetic)
3. Deeper transmission pan (not doing this since I don't have the ground clearance)
4. Transmission Cooler (already have one)
4. Flex plate and Torque converter bolts (converter came with new bolts, trying to decide if I should buy new flex plate bolts as well)
5. If you are doing the install yourself you may been about 3-4 feet of 1/2" drive extensions, red and/or blue loctite, rags, drop cloths, etc.)

When I installed my FLT Stage 4 Trans, I put in a Yank 3000 Stall, B&M Transcooler, TCI Deep Pan. However, I regret not installing the TCI Flexplate (Flywheel if Manual) but I highly recommend doing so.
Oh, and make sure the Rear Main Seal is okay while the Transmission out

"and by all means make sure you putt some tranny fluid in the converter," ( ADD to converter before installing)
" " but my yank states " not to use synthetic fluid "
both are good advice

I have a truck tranny pan i got from FLT a hundred years ago for like 100 for the kit, new gasket, pan, and filter great price holds like 2 quarts more and no ground clearence issues and more fluid helps the cooling process.
