Default Shift Extentions??

Just installed Yank SS4000 converter with outstanding results. I did notice in my trips down the track, if the car didn't hook "good" I would spin (1st gear only) and bounce off the rev limiter. I read something on LS1TECH about shift extentions. Do I need to change anything in my tune? My car never hit the limiter till the converter swap. Limiter is set at 6500rpm's. and shifts are set at 6000. Thanks.

Mine was tuned for my previous 3200, after an SS4k install, it hit the limiter right at first but doesnt do it anymore. Seemed like after some WOT blasts it figured things out I dont know how it would work if it was a stock tune though.

need to adjust the shift mph to get it to not hit the rev limiter. Try bringing the 1st gear WOT mph down and it should cure your problem. Shift extension is the amount of rpm it falls back after the shift. i.e shift at 6000 drops to 4500.
