Default 1860 pwm tcc solenoid error code

hi guys,

i was having a problem with my 1996 4l60e -- when i step on the gas, i only creep forward a little bit -- if i mash on the gas, i can get going a little bit, but under 10mph. i can go in reverse a bit stronger, but its still sluggish. i ran my diagnostic software and pulled up an 1860 PWM TCC error code, as well as an 0100 MAF insufficient activity code.

from what i've read, the PWM solenoid only affects 4th gear upshifting. The tranny is currently mated to a 1996 lt1, which is in a 1984 jaguar xj6.

does anyone have any suggestions what could be the matter? initially i thought i was in limp home mode -- and i still hope that i am, however this error code is a little distressing. the fluid is new -- new filter as well. when i changed the filter out, it looked good.

any help would be fantastic....

thanks again,

tyler w.

sounds like its may be in limp mode due to either shorted or open solenoid or wiring harness
