I have a performabuilt trans stage 2 that bangs the rev every time going to third gear wide open. whats the problem?

Your shift command time may be too close to the limiter I would say this would be particularly true if it shifts fine just off WOT remember that while electronics are instant hydraulics are not typical RPM needed to complete a 2-3 shift from comand to actual is 200-500 rpm depending on many variables ranging from rear ratio to car power levels also spray changes this also.

 

yeah i had that problem until i messed with the tune.
