My friend’s cars

2001 WS6 TA

H/C, LS6 intake, 85mm BBK TB, LCA, SFC, PHR, LT headers, 3600 stall with Slicks.

Took the car to the track Friday and notice when we stall the car up the car moves a lot…. The thing was bouncing off the limiter on second and third gear and wouldn’t shift. We had a few people tell us it needed to be tuned. I have heard from a lot of people you don’t need to tune the car for the stall to work but, it would be the best for your ET.

The car would start moving forward at or a little after 2200 rpm

I told him a line-lock would be the best bet to help with the car moving.

You do need a tune with a high stall. the symptoms you are decribing are tune related ,
