I don't understand how someone can build something and then have soo many questions about why somethings not working. Sounds like you have an electrical issue. Did you replace any of the solenoids? If you "rebuilt" it the right way, you would have replaced everything.

With no movement I would suspect a broken pump. Bro was asking if you checked pressure and that is where I would start.

Replaced everything includding solenoids. This is the first 4l60 that I have ever delt with just looking for some ideas that others may have come acrossed with this transmision. If the pump had broke would there not be metal in the fluid?

Pressure at idle is around 72. I flushed the converter and the cooler was brand new. I ordered a new converter today.

The tranny did not fail I decided to rebuild when the new motor went in. I figured it was due after 3 years of increased line pressur and being abused dailly

IIRC when you move the gear selector, you are still physically moving the valve in the valve body, but the way the computer knows which gear you are in is that there is a sensor on the valve body that shows which part of the circuit has pressure. You could try replacing that (part 69 in the attached picture).

ok so you have 72 psi at idle which is within spec, but you have no movement either the convereter is bad or the input shaft is broken or the input drum is broken however something is most likley broken and looks like you will geta chance to find out. what was the endplay on the unit when you put it back together?

Put it in a forward gear, if it doesn't move take the transmission back out and do it over.

You either take it out and find the problem, or you get a hundred tips off the internet that leads you to chasing your tail and getting nowhere.
if he has nothing in all ranges lolthen thats pretty much and indicator that something came apart lol I remember my firsttranny also lol

First thing that popped into my mind too from the "it does nothing" symptom.

I just don't know a single guy who can build his own transmission but then not know how to diagnose it.

I agree, I think a couple of you guys need to release some of that hot air out of your heads. Everyone was a beginner at one point and I think some guys forget that.

First off, I commend you for undertaking the rebuild yourself. My response was based on the fact that you said the indicator does not change from park when selecting the gear. That and the fact that you traction light comes on still leads me to believe it is electrical. I'd be checking continuity from the connector to the part I pointed out in my first post. Also check the speed sensor.
