Default Speedometer gear

Hi Gents
I'm hoping you can help. I'm running a 4 speed with a Gear Vendors Overdrive unit. The O/D unit uses a Turbo 400 style speedometer drive. My question is can I figure what gear is needed in the O/D ahead of time if I know the tire diameter? The gizmo that holds the cable has some numbers on it. I have no idea what they mean Like 41,42,43,44? Anyone? Help??
Thanks

Jim

Thanks so much for the reply and the link. Is the installed DRIVE gear always the same?
If so, how many teeth does it have? I can call GV next week, just thought I'd try to gain as much useful info ahead of time as possible. I just want it (the speedo) to be close.
Thanks again
Jim

I think I figured it out. I'll just look at the color of the drive gear inside the OD and match it to the formula. Sound right?
Thanks again
Jim
