Cracked Bellhousing 4l60e
Cracked Bellhousing 4l60e Well was pulling the trans for rear main, stall conv, and flex plate . Figures with my luck the bellhousing is cracked up top. Have someone very trustworthy and capable of welding available. This 4l60e only has 30000 on it now. Hate to junk it so I am looking for opinions on welding it. Anyone have much luck doing so? You can actually see daylight through it also. Thanks

grind into the crack to open it before you weld it that way penetration in all the way through, also weld from both sides. if you have a motor to bolt it to while being welded then do it, should keep it from warping.
