R is neutral, P is reverse.

just slid out of place. it happens. pull the center counsol out and you can adjust teh placement of the shifter.

Or the shift cable stretched more than the tensioner could compensate.

shift cable?
i thought that was the 700R4,
and the 4L60E did not have a shifter cable..

ill take apart the cc and hope that i can take care of it there.
