Thinking about buying a hypertech programmer from a friend of a friend. Putting a 3.73 gear in (in place of the 2.73) so I need it for the speedo anyways, but how much can they change the shifting of the trans? Any downsides?

I have to say don't buy it..when I went fron 2.73 to 3.73 it worked ok to change speedo but we could never get shift points right, was always bouncing off rev.limiter.
