non gm automatic tranny questin i really need some help
fellas, sorry about askign this but my good friend has a 00 gt automatic and he's been having problems and i've been trying to help him out and im not having any luck.
first off, after warm up the car idles around 650 rpms, then when i put it in drive or reverse it drops and stays around 570ish rpms. also when driving the car it almost feels as if the parking brake is still engaged when it is not. i dunno maybe that has something to do with the minus 100 horses it has compared to my 98 z hehe
i've change dthe tranny fluid, that didnt help, we changed teh idle air sensor, that didnt help...we took it to a couple shops but they were going to charge big money just to look at the damn thing and that didnt even include fixing it.
any help you guys could provide would be soo greatly appreciated. i apologize again for this not being a gm tranny problem...
Thanks fellas
Travis

What makes you say it is a trans problem again?
Well one thing fords have alot of idle air by-pass motor failures. (iac)
That may be your idle problem.
But the dragging feel is it a engine power output problem? (besides it being a ford!)
