Default TH400 w/ VSS

I am getting ready to do a TH400 swap in my 2002 trans am. Is there certain TH400 cores that have the VSS built in or how do you go about doing this?

You can hook it up to the front wheel speed sensor, and adjust the tune so it reads right. Do a search.

Or you can just buy this reluctor wheel (4L60E tooth count) and sensor:

And the proper pigtail to connect to your factory harness:

Call Transmissioncenter and see if they still have the reluctor wheel.

Hey guys I'm just getting around to putting my trans into the car and putting the VSS into my TH400. The car originally had a 700r so what reluctor wheel would I need to use for the VSS to read correctly?

PATC sells the reluctor wheel to go on the TH400 output shaft, to suit the factory (now obsolete) TH400 VSS's

Note: The PATC isn't a factory wheel, it looks like they make it themselves. It needs to be pressed onto the shaft, rather than the now obsolete factory TH400 vss reluctor wheels which had a cut away section on the inside diameter and would clip on the same way as the old plastic wheels did.

The VSS sensors that work in the 400's are now obsolete. But if you know where to look you can still find one new.
