Trans Shakes Violently????
Trans Shakes Violently???? Went with a friend to pick up a 94 Z28 today, took it for a test drive around the block, seemed to shift fine at part throttle but at WOT on the downshift, the tranny would shake so hard I thought my fillings were going to fall out.
There is also no 4th gear.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

No help...... Come on guys, whats your opinion on this?
I did a search, found nothing that completely matched my scenario but a few possibilities.
Throw some ideas out there for me.
I plan on pulling the tranny and possibly rebuilding it but would like to know what to look for as the problem area to make sure it is replaced.

I'm thinking tranny mount and possibly engine mounts are toast causing the vibration on downshift. Also could be that the clutch (assuming this is a m6) has been through hell and you have a scored flywheel. And YES, if it's missing 4th it's time to get that sucka rebuilt or replaced.
