Default 4L60-E Banner Kit

Had my trannsmission professionally rebuilt 20k/2yrs ago. Since then i added a TCI 3500 SSF stall which recently broke after 15k/1.5 yr and no drag strips. Took my car back to the same shop and they put back in the stock converter after checking and cleaning my tranny etc. They added a banner kit? Which cost an additional $179 that they said it included better friction plates. What good is this going to do me if any?

A banner kit is basically everything you need to overhaul trans seals, gaskets clutches & other misc parts.

So I just got a heavy duty/aftermarket kit? I guess that doesn't include new bands does it?
