2 coolers? is it okay
wondering if its ok to run 2 coolers..Thought i read they cause "pressure" problems and can damage your tranny...
The reason why I ask is because I use to have mine mounted dope style in the front, but it had to be moved when I put in my ram air kit..
anyway it was big "perma cool" fin and tube with a fan..So its now mounted inside the pass fender but it does not draw alot of air..I drilled holes in the black covers that go underneath but it can go to 180 temps within 30 min of slow stop ang traffic but cools right down to 145 on freeway..
so I was gonna run a line to that one going to a B&M unit mounted dope style by the pass side air damn, but if 2 units is no good I'd just go with the B&M by itself by the air dam..Just thought 2 might be better thanb one..what do you guys think?

from what I understand it is ok to run 2 fin - tube, or 1 fin - tube and 1 staked plate, but do not run 2 stack plates as it will cause high pressure
now I am running one of each with a fan on the fin-tube and OE cooler
and in a 5 mile drive at less than 20-30 mph I still get up to 211 f deg in south east Tex 95 deg temp, cool down to 180 at 50 mph and up, running a temp senser in pan,
both cooler are mounted dope style, one on each side, I think I may bypass the OE cooler to see if it will lower temp, if to do over again I would still run a big stall.
just my .02'

you can use two coolers now its true if you run them in series you can increase presure in the converter and in turn place more stress on the engine thrust bearing.
However with just two coolers and the raditior not in te loops i dont tink that would be and issue as many run the radiator with a cooler which from a presure perspective would be the same as two coolers.
However if you can and want to hav e no worries here put the coolers in paraell slipt the in line to two lines run one to each cooler then Y them back into one this would eliminate any presure worries and double the cooling area at the same time.

I am thinking about doing two also.
I was running the rad cooler with a B&M 24k. But the temps would get up to 260.
Since I bypassed the radiator cooler, temps have been around 200. I want to run another B&M 24k in series to drop the temp a bit more.
