Default 4L60E Problem

Went to the track a couple of weeks ago and blew my 10 bolt on the launch. Just finished install on another 10 bolt (for now) and took the car for a ride. When the trans is shifting into 2nd it almost stalls to a stop as if its down shifting from 2nd to first instead, with quite a hard hit. Is it likely when the rear end went it took the trans with it? Also, if I manually put the trans in 1st. the trans will take the rpm's right up till I shift into 2nd ... then it bangs and starts slowing to almost a stop. Could it be converter?

Thanks for the info. Best bet for me is to have the trans gone through I guess.
