Question TCI 3500 acting strange.....im lost

So im taking off earlier and decide to play with the car a little bit, let it warm up.....turn the TC off and im taking off from this stoplight with a SLIGHT uphill slope. give it almost half throttle and whats the response? 6200RPM ON the rev limiter, and the car goes NOWHERE......let off, give it a LITTLE gas.....car pulls fine. Take off again, this time full throttle (pissed off) tires go up in smoke thru 1st and 2nd and barks 3rd on 275/40ZR18 F1's. I'm all confused at this point......the car has ran like crap (compared to other stalled cars) every since i put the TCI in it. For the past couple of weeks, sometimes i can take off and the car will bounce off the rev limiter and not really go anywhere.....sometimes it doesnt? WTF?!!

BTW.....2000 z28, intake, dumped exhaust, 2.73's (had 4.10's for a while), B&M internal shift kit, TCI SSF 3500, B&M tranny cooler (24k), and all free mods.

R U just talking about a lack of traction...cuz that's sure what it sounds like. A sure sign of a properly working converter if you ask me!

no not at all.......the time i got on it and it hit the rev limiter there was NO WHEELSPIN........most of the time when i get on it theres no traction, but tonight this was not the issue at all.......it was all rev NO GO.....it felt like i had a 6500 convertor, it was pulling a LITTLE BIT.....but bouncing off the rev limiter???? Car was in drive, ASR off, its happened 3 or 4 times in the past few days, so i know its not user error....all times the car was either in D or OD....i never shift my car myself, and i know im not dumb enough to not know when my tires are spinning lol.

BTW....with a few different drivers and drag radials the best 60ft the car has pulled has been a 2.01 correct me if im wrong, but that SUCKS right? also my best 1000ft time (tracks in arkansas are only 1000ft) has been 10.902@99mph

MontereyLS1,
It sounds like your transmission is slipping. Have you checked your fluid level? A sure sign would be to drop the pan and look at the particulates in it. I'll be glad to check the converter out if you want to send it in to me, but there's really not anything in it that could slip one time and not slip the next time when you're taking off.
