Default car wont shift do I have a problem

Ok guys Im new to these cars, took the car to the track tonight and it dont want to shift it will hang out on the rev unless I let all the way out of it and ease back into it, I just had the motor tuned and is runnin great and making good power but he did not adjust anything on the tranny, I had to take it to the dealer to have it reflash if that makes a diff. the car does have a 4400 yank converter, just looking for somewhere to start, the fluid looks good and is not burnt

You had the dealer put a stock tune in it.
You need to have a performance tune done for the shift points, rev limiter, false codes related to high stall converters (757, 751, misfire tables, etc)

I just had the dealer reflash the computer because it was locked out with efi live and the guy that tuned my car used hp, so Im assuming the dealer wiped out the tranny tune if it had one, Would I be better off just buying the hp tunner myself and tune the tranny is it very hard to do, Im lost here does this seem like the tune on the tranny is my problem

If your computer was locked and you had a dealer reflash it, you now have a stock tune.

Buying a tuning program IMO is the only way you're going to get the transmission to work exactly the way you want it to. It takes a lot of driving to get the shift points, etc perfect.

The only other option is a one time tune and settle for close enough.

Read their site. I bought mine 6 years ago and they changed their credit system since then.
You need it to work with the car you have, thats basically it.
