i believe that one install on the hot rodding site stated you had to take it off...though cartek didnt take mine off, but im sure i wouldve followed directions and been screwed lol

 

I just dropped the catback so the y-pipe would move around alittle. I was going to take it off untill i started in on one of the bolts to the manifolds. It was screaching so load and it was tight so i worked around it.

 

When i had mine installed it sure looked like it was way over my head. I paid $160 for the converter install with fluids. $300 is way overpriced and you should find a better deal. If you don't have a lift i'd think it would be a B**ch to do the install.

 

what about with highlift jackstands?

first time i dropped my trans i had a friend helping for part of it...

second time i did it solo (but i almost dropped it on myself reinstalling it cause i was using a regular floor jack)

my 140 pounds a@# can do it anyone can...

not a big deal...will just take a little time...

 

I paid a buddy of mine to open up his shop so we could use his lift.. It only took about 4hrs. It wasnt to bad at all. MAN CAN YOU TELL A DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
