Hey guys/gals, Im currently lookin for a built a4 for the z... I have it narrowed down to flt or performabuilt. I purchased a fti 3800 stall converter last summer, but the stock trans has got me convinced not to install it lol! Im not tryin to start a pissin match between the two companies...just want some opinions on why you went with that particular company and how well has the trans held up?
*If anybody thinks I can get away with stalling the stock trans, then please elaborate!! I cant make my damn mind up on it lol. It seems 50% have had good luck stalling the stock a4 and the other 50% not so lucky. I know heat is a big player and a big cooler is a must. just want some opinions on what I should do on my setup. It's Just another bolt on camaro startin out on a 100 shot lol. Future mods... a ls6 long block, eps custom bump stick, and a fast intake.

I don't think you can go wrong with either since they both have very satisfied customers. Since you're going to be running nitrous I would just get the tranny built to get it out the way.
i would say stall the stock transmission but not with the nitrous... or atleast dont expect it to last too long with the nitro.
What i did was put a deposit down on a flt tranny (10% off sale
and as to not burn through the warranty through the winter)and am gonna run my current trans and replace it next spring... Gonna send the converter back for a cut and clean when i replace.
