Linkage
Ok here's how to adjust it.
Disconnect the cable from the transmission lever.
Put the shifter in park and lock it with the key, just make sure it stays in P.
Then release the cable adjustment clip by pushing the two tabs marked in red and......

look on the other side, you will see it raised up enough to get a screwdriver under it and pry the clip out.... (This part of the clip needs to be pushed down flush when you're done.)

Once the clip is out the adjustment spring will pull the cable away from the lever on the trans.

Pull the cable end forward and snap it on the shift lever, hold the shift lever all the way forward while you put the clip back in.
Make sure the shift lever is installed properly, the cable pivot ball should be below the mounting nut. Turning the lever clockwise will move the ball forward putting it in park.
Alternate procedure: Hold the shifter in 1, remove adjustment clip, turn the lever counter clockwise, reinstall the clip.
