Which IS the right Torque Convertor?

Which IS the right Torque Convertor? With the mods i have which would be a better torque convertor. Not a daily driver but i do take it out a lot for driving and street racing. Also the car will be at the track a good amount this year. Plan on getting Stage 2 Cartek heads and Cam in the summer also. Also already have many suspension parts waiting to go on.
After reading a lot on here and Ls1 which do you guys think is better for my setup, Vigilante 3600, Yank pt4000 or the SS 4000. Obviously from reading other threads i will also purchase a transgo shift kit and B&M tranny cooler.

Get the trany built and do not install a shift kit..your trany builder will hate you if you do. The stock trany will not handle a bunch of racing with 3500 lbs and any amount of power (especially if you hook it up)..
As fas as converter choice, it depends on what you will be doing down the road...if you plan on nitrous , get a mild stall. If not, get a nasty one! If you rally want to run ET Streets all th time and use the converter, get a 360 or higher, up to a 4000 would be the limit, unless if course you get a huge cam/heads and weight reduction. etc. If you go Vig, get a multidisc. I have run a 3500 stall in a vette for many years and it was not bad for street driving at all. A big stall with not enough tire or suspension is useless.

P.S>, I just went with a vig 3200 multidisc since I am running nitrous and mild gears...if I was running 3.73's or 4.10's and no nitrous, I would have gotten a 4000 stall.

Thanks, no budget really in mind now. I believe the pt4400 and the 4000 are both $939. I just want to make sure and get the right one. Plan on doing the cam and stage 2 heads from cartek later this year.
