Default Need some help with stall converter and cam setup

I can't seem to nail down what converter I need because I plan on putting a pretty aggressive cam in my Z28. My car is not a DD, so I'm not to worried how she acts on the road. I'm rebuilding the factory automatic Trans in my 2000 Z28 and installing a trans cooler and figured its a good time to find a converter that would perform the best with an aggressive comp cam? Help me out fella's, none of the mechanic's around here can give me a straight answer.........

How aggressive do you plan on going with the cam. What are your goals for the car?Just take a look at my sig for an idea. My cam while considered mild has a nice choppy idle but still runs pretty nice on the street.

I was really wanting a VERY aggressive cam with heavy lope. I still haven't nailed down what cam I'm going to order. I've called the comp cam help line and talk'd to a technitian and got some info. How does your cam sound? How does your car drive on the street? does it cut loose easy or easy to control?

i have a 3200 stall and drives perfect and it is civil. I honestly could step up to a bigger stall.

depending on what camshaft you use will determine how the converter is set up. You also have to take into play tire size, gear, weight, cylinder head ,etc.

For one is this going to be a nitrous car,NA or turbo car. You need to decied on what your goal is.
If you are going to spray nitrous then you need a converter around 3500 if its NA then you can go up to a higher stall. I would get the cam before you have a custom cam made.
