Th400 to ls1 Hi guys
i am dong a ls1 swap in my 74 stingray with a th400. I got the motor drop in the car and the flex plate wont spin. I spun the crank when i first got it and it worked. the flexplate i have on their now is a SFI TCI one any clue why it wouldnt spin? Could u over tighten it?

maybe u dont have the converter all the way in the tranny. if u dont have the converter bolt to the flywheel yet, u should be able to spin the converter by hand. if u cant then the converter is not all the way in the pump.

here we go again, lol-do you know the TCI # of the flexplate?
if your using the 400 converter, not a converter with a long snout, you would need the TCI flywheel for a 4l80e, which bolts to the crank, uses longer bolts, and a spacer that regis. the 400 converter to the crank
orig., 6.0's with a 4l80e used a .400 spacer, flat flywheel, and the converter was more like a 400 converter snout wise
as said, is the converter seated all the way
why did GM make ever make it this way, lol
