Tranny Dying, Converter flush?
My 4th gear is slipping and 3rd is starting to slip.
I plan on ordering a built tranny this week.
Do I need to do anything to my Vig??

If your tranny is dieing a slow death (clutch pack wear) and your converter less than 2 years old, then I would flush the vig out before installing it in a new tranny. If your tranny dies of sudden failure where metal is floating everywhere, (or your converter is old) then you will want to cut open the converter and inspect it for trash, wear, and clutch lining condition.

you can still get it restallled if it has never been before and its under 2 years old. Since its a 2800 i dont think it was. When its out call them up and give them the #`s offf the converter and tell them you want a restall and is it still covered and see what they say

If the tranny is just having clutch issues, which is what it sounds like. You can normally flush the converter and reuse it. Of course if there is any metal in the fluid.. it has to be taken apart to insure all the "junk" is clear out.
In your case. I would definetly take this opportunity to get it upgraded to a 3200.
