According to Yanks website you want to choose a torque converter with a stall speed 500-700 rpms below the engine's torque peak. A stock ls1 torque peak is 4000 rpm is it not? If so then why is everyone so hell bent on 3600-4000? Wouldnt best choice according to info given be a 3200-3500?
Yea I know,a cam will change your power ranges but alot of guys still get big stalls (3600+) without a cam. So can someone explain why everyone picks stalls out of the suggested range?
