Default Are 93-02 Auto shifter assemblies the same?

Are all 93-02 fbody oem auto shifter assemblies the same other than maybe the **** being different? On V6 and V8 models from 93-02? On Camaros and Firebirds? or are 93-97 different than 98-02? If any what would be the differences? Thanks any info will be appreciated. Im in need of a shifter for a car and was wondering about compatability between the 4th gens.

I see them on ebay as 93-97 shifters and others as 98-02 shifters and some as 93-02 shifters.

Not sure about the shifters. However I do know that the earlier shifters used a different cable. On the trans side of things the shifter lever on the later designs has a large ball end on it. The earlier ones have a smaller ball. I would have to think that this might be the difference on the two because the cables are definitely different. Hope this helps. Vince
