BEST TRANS for turbo build
BEST TRANS for turbo build well after reading alot about turbo cars and how 6 speeds dont work to well with a turbo. i think i decided to go to an auto.
first question is what kind of tranny? this will be a street car but will see some track times. trans break? or no?
2 who to build a badass tranny that will hold up and LAST! nobody around where i live "that i know of" can build a good one.
car is full weight 370ci shootin for 800hp+

This is not a cheap game my friend, performabuilt also builds some stout stuff,
4L60 is a 4sp auto from the Fbody and GTO, some other vehicles that are Rwd, i dont like them, most dont.
The 4L80 can be bult bullit proof from my understanding, and is also a 4spd auto,
th350/400 are both 3spd autos that have been around since the dark ages that can be built to the hilt without much trouble or cost in comparisson to the 4L series, from what i seen in the past year anyways.
The converter is VERY VERY important and should never be bought off a shelf, it should always be sized and built to your specific engine and trans combo, along with your goals.
Give them a call, or call Performabuilt, they have helped me ALOT in the last year with questions and are always willing to talk, i WILL be purchasing my TH400 combo through them, as i dont need over drive, nor care for it.
EDIT: I love my Yank converter as well. Dave is a well versed man in the LSx world and bulds a bad *** verter.

ya i'll have to give them a call and save up more money! LOL i would like to go th400 but with a 3 speed and driving it all the time on the street not sure that would be good?
