Just got the Th400 in and installed a B&M deep pan and the cable bracket that came with the Hurst shifter (pistol grip 1/4 stick) will have to be modified to clear the pan. Anyone else have this problem?

 

I ended up cutting the bracket and modifying it to fit.

 

I know this is a pretty old thread, but you wouldn't happen to be able to take a picture of your cable bracket installed on your tranny would you? I am having the same problem as you. I have the hurst shifter, B&M deep pan and TH400. I modified a bracket to fit also, but my car won't shift to 3rd gear. It is a RMVB setup. I am pretty sure it is this bracket dilemna, but I want to make sure. Thanks,

I would but I am two 4l80e's past the 400. lol. I just ground down the bracket to fit. Make sure that the cable is adjusted properly.

 

I know this is a reach but would you have any pics or can get some of the bracket you modified to fit your TH400 with B&M pan with Hurst shifter? I know it's been awhile but I'm losing patience with this exact same setup. Thanks man. Mike
