Default 2002 SS Transmission?

I am making a little over 450hp at the crank, the tranny has had a shift kit installed. Not sure what all was done to it when they did the kit bought the car used. I am on the stock tq converter still. How long with the auto trans put up with this?

Well the shift kit should help for sure to keep it from slipping so much but I would say with the stock 60E at that power level you are on borrowed time. I would start right now puting some money aside for a built trans for when it does go. It really will depend on your driving habits and how heavy your foot is.

Fantastic lol! Wish there was a way to know if the PO beefed her up some. Crosses fingers starts saving money lol. The car is heavily modded is there a way to tell if the tranny tune is different from stock?

That is also corrected hp. So at a Mile high I lose about 25% of my HP. So more around 350 I guess lol.
