Hello. I have a early 4L60-E out of a 1993 K2500 2WD P/U. It has been recently rebuilt and it runs out perfect in this truck. However, this is a doner truck for the engine. I am doing a TBI swap for a friend of mine. I get the transmission because he has no use for it. So, I thought it might be a good trans for my 70 Chevelle with a carbed LS1 that I have. However, I have been reading about using this early E trans is good, but I will have to get a "stand alone" trans controll unit. I looked at a few online, but dont really know what I am looking at. What do you guys think? What should I do, use it, or find a 700R4? I have 4.10 gears and 28" rear tires on the car so overdrive is a plus. I just thought it would be nice to use parts I already have... Thanks
