Default 4l60e interchange

Should a 4l60e from a 2006 Silverado work in an LS1 fbody.
Are there any valve body differences? Thanks

Yes it will work. The differences between the two units will be the shifter linkage shaft, tail housing, and also the truck unit has a pressed on sleeve on the output shaft to seal a vented yoke. There are a couple of other differences internally but it will work. I would probably consider installing the second gear band servo from the fbody unit into the truck unit. Other than that there were some differnt size feed hole in the seperator plate however if you install a shift kit this would take care of this. The unit will probably shift pretty good and if it feels soft then as I mentioned above install a shift kit.I hope this helps. Vince
