Also, monstertransmissions.com
I bought this kit in their version for my 98 car, and also my friend bought one for his 02. Haven't had any dealings with them other than ordering the kit. But our transmission guy told us its all top quality stuff. We've been pleased with them.

I bought a 3-4 clutch set and vac mod from ProBuilt back in 2005, Thats it.

Dana (who is the guy who does everything there) knows what I've bought from him and when. We've talked on the phone several times about 6 months ago, sometimes over an hour and a half. I was having a strange problem with my trans that no one really had any answers to. He gave me advice which eventually lead to me getting the problem solved.

He puts together kits specifically for what you have and what you're doing with it. You can also buy kits listed on the site. And he helps out on this forum often. He also includes modified instructions based on his years of experience.

Monster uses Superior Products shift kits in their kits, those aren't that great.

When buying parts tech support is a big plus! There are many places that sell parts however when you need tech support there isn't any. This seperates the good from the bad in my opinion. Keep that in mind while you look around and in some cases price should not be your main concern. +1 for Dana hope this helps. Vince

Yeah I would've much rather had a transgo kit since I have one in my truck and love it, but the one that came from monster seems to shift good. It doesn't hit third nearly as hard as the transgo does however.

Philip, this thread is six years old. I doubt the original poster is still following it. The best thing for you to do is start your own thread asking about people's successes with rebuild kits.
