what exactly needs to be done for a 700r4 to replace the 4l60e, cuz i can get a built 700r4 that can handle about 800 rwhp for 400 dollars and it has about 2k miles on it.

 

Damn, the seller is either taking a huge loss or is ful of ****.

You need a converter for the 700, you need to either have it made to bolt to your engine or adapt it just like any other non LS trans.

Needs a TV cable and bracket set up HERE.

 

its my buddy's grandpas transmission, its in his 67 pick up and he said it is too much for him and just wants me to have a th350 rebuilt for him and he is gonna give me his 700r4. it chirps shifting into reverse lol, its a bad bitch.

 

chirping into reverse is not a good thing.

 

its just how hard it shifts, the transmission was built by a very reputable transmission builder in the area who has been doin it for about 40 years, and the transmission has never done anything but cruise about 60 mph to and from car shows.
